What’s the difference between “estufa” and “horno”?
La estufa is the stovetop (the burners on top where you put pots and pans). El horno is the oven (where you bake). They’re often part of the same appliance but refer to different parts!

Why does “fridge” have two different words?
La nevera is used in Spain and Colombia, while el refrigerador is more common in Mexico, and la heladera in Argentina. All three are understood across the Spanish-speaking world — it’s simply regional preference.
