La Patasola — literally “One Leg” — is one of the most feared creatures in Colombian and Latin American mythology. She is described as a beautiful woman who lures men deep into the forest with her looks, only to reveal her true nature: a terrifying one-legged creature that feeds on human flesh.
According to the legend, she was once a woman who suffered a terrible tragedy — betrayed, rejected, and driven to take her own life. Her soul became trapped in the forest where she died, cursed to wander forever, seeking revenge against men.

Yo soy la Patasola
Soy la Patasola, una criatura de la noche que habita en los bosques y selvas de Colombia. Tengo una sola pierna, y mi cuerpo está cubierto de pelo. Soy una mujer hermosa y sensual, pero también soy una criatura malvada que se alimenta de carne humana.
Nací en una pequeña aldea de Colombia. Era una niña hermosa y feliz, pero mi vida cambió cuando me enamoré de un hombre prohibido. Mi padre, un hombre celoso y violento, lo descubrió y lo mató.
Mi corazón se rompió, y me sentí tan sola y abandonada que decidí suicidarme. Me ahorqué en un árbol del bosque, y mi alma quedó atrapada en el lugar donde morí.
Ahora, vagabundeo por los bosques, buscando venganza contra todos los hombres. Me encanta atraerlos a mi trampa con mi belleza, y luego los mato y los devoro.
Soy una criatura temida por los campesinos, y mi nombre se usa para asustar a los niños. Pero yo no soy una criatura malvada por naturaleza. Soy una víctima de las circunstancias.
Si algún día te encuentras conmigo en el bosque, no temas. No soy una criatura cruel. Solo soy una mujer que busca justicia.
Una vez, me encontré con un hombre en el bosque. Era un hombre joven y guapo, y me sentí atraída por él inmediatamente. Lo seguí hasta su casa, y lo seducí.
El hombre estaba encantado conmigo. Me dijo que era la mujer más hermosa que había visto nunca. Pasamos la noche juntos, y fue la noche más feliz de mi vida.
A la mañana siguiente, el hombre se despertó y me vio. Sus ojos se abrieron de par en par, y su cara se puso blanca como la muerte.
— ¿Qué eres? — preguntó.
— Soy la Patasola — respondí.
El hombre se puso a gritar, y trató de huir. Pero yo lo agarré y lo arrastré al bosque. Lo maté, y lo devoré.
Me sentí mal por haberlo matado. Era un hombre bueno, y no merecía morir. Pero no podía evitarlo. Era la única manera de satisfacer mi sed de venganza.
Sigo vagabundeando por los bosques, buscando venganza. Pero ¿alguna vez encontraré paz?
No lo sé. Tal vez algún día encuentre la paz, y pueda dejar de matar. Pero por ahora, estoy condenada a vagar por los bosques, buscando venganza.
